Bangkok Night Market Live Tracker
Find open markets tonight by day, hour, and category preference.
What this solves
Bangkok has 30+ named night markets and rôt đây, but most are open only specific days. Chatuchak is weekend-only. Rot Fai (train market) runs Thu–Sun. Asiatique runs nightly. Showing up on the wrong day is the #1 tourist frustration — this tracker checks day-of-week and hour against each market's published schedule.
How to read results
Markets open at a specific time and have a "last order" cutoff (food vendors stop taking orders 30 minutes before close). The "open until" column shows closing time. The "nearest BTS/MRT" column helps you plan transport.
Limitations
- Hours change seasonally — outdoor markets may close early or entirely during heavy rain.
- Special-event closures (royal holidays, elections) are not reflected in the schedule.
- Small neighborhood markets without online presence are not in this database.
FAQ
Which market is best for first-timers?
Asiatique (BTS Saphan Taksin + free shuttle boat) for the iconic mall-riverfront mix, or Chatuchak Friday Night for the full Bangkok market vibe. Both are easy to navigate and food-friendly.
Is Rot Fai the same as Chatuchak?
No. Rot Fai (train market) is a separate market with vintage goods, sneaker sellers, and food — currently located in Ratchada (close to MRT Thailand Cultural Centre). It's Thursday–Sunday nights.
Are markets cash-only?
Almost all are cash-only. Some larger stalls accept PromptPay QR. Bring small bills; many food stalls cannot break a 1000-baht note.
