Thailand Daily Budget Estimator
Estimate daily costs by city tier, style, and season.
What this solves
Travel guides give vague "mid-range $50/day" numbers that don't account for Bangkok vs Phuket, monsoon season discounts, or family-room pricing. This estimator uses city-tier multipliers (Bangkok 1.0×, Phuket 1.4×) and applies seasonal pricing for accommodation.
How to read results
The breakdown shows accommodation (typically 40–60% of daily cost), food (15–25%), local transport (10–15%), and activities (10–20%). Family pricing assumes 2 adults share one room and kids under 12 share with parents. Luxury style assumes 5-star hotels and private tours.
Limitations
- Inter-city transport (flights, buses, ferries) is not included — that's a separate trip segment.
- Activities budget assumes 1 paid attraction per day; multi-day passes (e.g., national park multi-entry) change math.
- Booze can double or triple the food line; this calculator assumes light drinking.
